Help Keep Our Blessing Box Stocked!

Our Blessing Box provides free, 24/7 access to nonperishable food and hygiene supplies for anyone in need. To keep it stocked and ready for our community, we rely on volunteers to help maintain it.

We’re looking for individuals or groups to check on the Blessing Box at least once a week. Volunteers will add donated supplies, remove expired food, and ensure the box remains a reliable resource for those facing hardship.

Your small commitment can make a big difference—sign up today and help support families in need!

BLESSING BOX HISTORY

In 2021, three dedicated Girl Scouts working toward their Silver Award recognized the need for Blessing Boxes in our community. They took action by building and placing one at Fire Station 4 on Woodlawn Drive. To ensure its continued success, they partnered with The Alliance and FISDCares for ongoing support. In recognition of their generosity and initiative, Silver Award Girl Scouts Brynn Glover, Sam Mankowski, and Presley Studebaker were honored with the Community Star Award at the 2022 Alliance Annual Meeting.

It takes a big heart to make a difference, and these young leaders truly

 embody that spirit!

Donation Drive

Is your organization interested in holding a donation drive? FISDCares is always looking for donations of non-perishable food items, individually- packaged snack foods (goldfish, breakfast bars, etc.) and/or personal hygiene supplies. These items are used to stock Friendswood ISD Counselor offices for students' needs and/or fill the Blessing Box.
